Bro. Dr. Davidson Hepburn receives his 50th year pin

The Brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Pi Xi Chapter, recently gathered for
a special reception at the home of Brother Dr. Davidson Hepburn.  At the
reception, Brother Hepburn was presented with a 50-year commemorative pin by the
Head of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity worldwide, Grand Basileus Brother George Grace.
Brother Hepburn became a member of Omega Psi Phi in 1955 and Pi Xi Chapter is
proud of the service that Brother Hepburn has given to the Bahamian community
through many of the subsequent years, as a former Ambassador of The Bahamas to
the United Nations and, currently, as the Chairman of the The Bahamas National
Commission for UNESCO, a member of the Executive Board of UNESCO, and as the
Honourary Consul to Indonesia.  Dr. Hepburn also serves as Chairman of the
Governor General's Youth Award programme in The Bahamas and is also a recipient
of France's Legion of Honour designation, awarded by France for outstanding
service to France, regardless of the social status or the nationality of recipients.
